The Ford Mustang GT S550 is a favorite among enthusiasts who still crave the thunderous roar of a V8 that delivers 460 horses and 420 pound-feet of tire-squealing torque with an optional active exhaust.

You can also opt for the GT Performance Package that adds upgraded Brembo brakes, heavy-duty front springs, a limited-slip differential, stickier summer tires, unique chassis tuning, and more! It also upgrades the stock 18-inch double five-spoke wheels to 19-inch options that are a bit underwhelming for the V8 beauty. That’s where the aftermarket comes in, namely, VR Forged wheels.

The stunning Shadow Black Mustang GT S550 featured in the gallery below had its stock wheels upgraded to the VR Forged D03 monoblock wheels in Satin Bronze. The VR Forged D03 is a full one-piece forged wheel that spotlights a thin spoke design with our signature V around the lug pattern. Manufactured using a 10,000-ton press, these wheels are incredibly strong and lightweight to boot. The machine work near the center of the wheel draws your eye in while the elegance of the thin spokes keeps the wheel visually stunning and well suited to a classic and bold car like the Mustang.

The D03s on this Mustang GT measure 20×10 at the front and 20×11at the rear with a +30 / +50 offset, 70.5 center bore, and 5×114.3 bolt pattern. Each individual wheel weighs just 10.9 kilograms (24.0 pounds) and has a load rating of up to 690 kilograms (1521 pounds). Recommended tire size for this wheel set is 275/35/20 for the front and 305/35/20 for the rear.

Rapid Blue Corvette C8 with 20/21-Inch VR Forged D01 Wheels

The new Corvette C8 exudes supercar vibes with its sculpted body lines, functional aerodynamics, and impressive performance specs. The innovative mid-engine design was highly anticipated and, actually, delivers a host of benefits for the sports car. Advantages include improved handling, responsiveness, and visibility along with better engine cooling, enhanced performance, and better weight distribution. While not everyone was on the same page about all of its styling elements when the C8 was first revealed, it’s safe to say that this mid-engine beauty has grown on us.

With all that being said, the C8 wheel options are a bit “meh” apart from the sharp trident spoke option. Thankfully, though, VR Forged has the perfect upgrade to the standard Corvette wheels to give it the oomph it deserves. After all, they say the shoes really can tell a lot about a person; and an American icon such as the Corvette needs a pair that will truly match with its race-inspired DNA and overall aggressive persona.
