Honda Civic Type R with VR Forged D03-R in Matte Black

The Honda Civic Type R checks all the boxes when it comes to aggressive styling, a tech-savvy cabin, and enjoyable driving dynamics. A great bang for the buck, it’s really not hard to see why this race-inspired hatchback has grown so popular throughout the years, especially in the tuner world. Engineered to deliver thrilling performance with functional aerodynamics and sharp body lines, the Type R makes a powerful statement straight from the factory. Dylan Burger (IG: @exile_aeterna) just installed a set of VR Forged D03-R wheels on his Honda Civic Type R. He opted for a set of 18s (18×9.5 +45) in a stunning and durable matte black finish that pairs effortlessly with the Sonic Gray Pearl exterior. The VR Forged D03-R wheel features a complete one-piece monoblock construction that is both ultra-lightweight and strong. The design of this wheel is similar to the D03 wheel but with a motorsports-inspired machined ring around the outer edge. The machine work at the center of the wheel is intricate and the outside ring is visually stunning to elevate the overall appeal of your vehicle.

And the D03-R performs just as well as it looks, if not better. Manufactured using a 10,000-ton press, these wheels hold up incredibly well against the elements of both daily and more spirited driving. This wheel is perfectly matched to any “tuner” style vehicle such as the Type R. Each individual wheel weighs in at just 9.9 kilograms (21.8 pounds) and has a load rating of up to 690 kilograms (1521 pounds). The recommended tire fitment for this type of setup is 255/35/18.

VR Forged D03 Gunmetal 20-inch Wheels on Ford Mustang 5.0 GT

With a car that tears it up on the road, steals gazes at shows, and rushes past the competition on the track, you’ll want to pair it with a nice set of wheels.

The bold Velocity Blue Ford Mustang 5.0 GT shown in the gallery below swapped out the ordinary stock wheels with the VR Forged D03 monoblock wheels in Gunmetal. The D03 one-piece forged wheel has a sleek 10-spoke design with the signature VR Forged V design around the lugs. Durably crafted using a 10,000-ton press, these monoblock wheels are not only lightweight but also incredibly strong. The machine work towards the center of the wheel grabs your attention while the thin and elegant spokes keep the wheel timeless and well suited to a classic such as the Mustang.

For those looking for a wheel that complements their pony car without being over the top or cliche, the D03 fills that job description; and the gunmetal finish gives it an appeal that is more subtle than silver and less aggressive than black. This Mustang has 20×10 D03 wheels at the front and 20×11s at the back with a +30 / +50 offset, 70.5 center bore, and 5×114.3 bolt pattern. Each individual wheel weighs just 10.9 kilograms (24.0 pounds) and has a load rating of up to 690 kilograms (1521 pounds). The recommended tire size for this setup is 275/35/20 for the front and 305/35/20 for the rear.

This Tundra is fitted with 18×9 D02 wheels all around with a +12 offset, 110 center bore, and 5×150 bolt pattern. Each wheel weighs in at 11.74 kilograms (25.88 pounds) and has a load rating of up to 1100 kilograms (2425 pounds). The recommended tire fitment for this setup is 295/70/18 or 285/70/18.
